Still working on my black and white pinwheel quilt. Only have twelve more blocks to go before I can finally put it all together and get it quilted. I am also working on a blue, white and yellow quilt. This is a block a month for 5.00 if you go to all the classes and don't miss. I think I will be giving this quilt to Tabie maybe for her birthday. I have started cutting the pieces for Tori's present but haven't finished with the cutting. Too many irons in the fire along with a new four legged baby to take care of . Will post pictures when I find the cord to my camera.

Cutting cutting material

I have been cutting material all day long. I am trying to cut what I need to make a quilt for Tabie. She has requested a multi-colored quilt so I am going to make the pattern BIG STAR by Judy Laquidara. I am keeping larger scraps for the double wedding ring for Tori's quilt which doesn't need to be finished until Sept next year so I have some time on that one. I made a couple of baby blankets for Jamie Lee to go with the choo choo puppy quilt. Hope they like it:)

this is a quilt I am making for my husbands new grandson. It's called puppy choo-choo. Hope he likes it I am quilting it now and am almost finished.

Trip back home

Well I drove home a 10 hour trip this last week. I had to pick up my grandaughter from her dad's where she had been staying all summer. The drive would have been ok except for the rush hour traffic in Dallas. But we made it by 1am. I finished the quilt I started for Riley. I hope her parent's like it. I have been working on Ericka's baby quilt and am getting close to finished so I can then finish my black and white quilt I have been working on. I want to start on a wedding quilt for Tori and Tom. Its 930 past my bedtime so will close this up.

I am a full-time grandmother and mom to 5 mini schnauzers Jasper, Zachary, Zoey, Daisy and Blue my hound dog schnauzer. I also have five baby schnauzers who are 5 weeks old and just about ready to go to new homes. I love babies but don't miss them when they are gone as they are a lot of work. My daughter and I love them socialize them and partially potty train them before they leave. The hardest part is to find good homes to send them to where they will be loved and cared for.

I also help raise two teens one 11 year old Katie and one 14 going on 30 Amanda who I think has every person in this state of texas phone number. She has been a little more difficult but is a sweet girl who tries hard to be tough. Momma does the brunt of the raising but I back her on most of the decisions and what we disagree on we discuss and come to an understanding. Then Mark my DH comes into the equation and throws everthing for a loop as the girls can't do anything wrong and they should have everything they want and why am I telling him NO?

Soooo between all this and a job as a nurse at the VA I love to bead and sew and do needlework when I get spare moments which is few and far between. I have a quilt I am trying to finish before the end of this month and It is a big stretch for me. sigh.... so I had better quit and get to work.
